The Orthotics and Prosthetics Service Manager Galway role offers an exceptional leadership opportunity within the Galway/Roscommon and Mayo Integrated Health Areas. This senior position is responsible for overseeing clinical orthotic and prosthetic services, driving service excellence, and ensuring high-quality patient care across multiple counties.
This is a strategic leadership role suited to a highly experienced clinician with proven management capability in healthcare service delivery and change management.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage Orthotics and Prosthetics clinical services across designated Integrated Health Areas
• Provide strategic oversight of service planning, delivery, and evaluation
• Manage and support multidisciplinary staff teams
• Drive service improvement initiatives and implement change management strategies
• Ensure compliance with HSE governance, quality, and safety standards
• Oversee budgetary and resource allocation responsibilities
• Engage with stakeholders across primary care and hospital services
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of Orthotic and Prosthetic clinical experience in a healthcare setting
• Significant management experience in clinical services leadership
• Proven ability in staff management and performance oversight
• Experience implementing change and driving service improvement initiatives
• Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the Physiotherapist-in-Charge (Grade III) consolidated HSE pay scale in accordance with Department of Health Circular 6/2025
