The Health Service Executive (HSE) West and North West is seeking a skilled Painter (Grade 5118) to join the Maintenance Department, Mental Health Services in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. This is a permanent whole-time role offering competitive public sector pay and benefits.

About the Role

As a Painter within the HSE Community Healthcare West & North West, you will play a key role in maintaining high-quality environments across mental health facilities in Galway, Roscommon, and Mayo. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safe and professional standards across healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out painting, finishing, and surface preparation across HSE healthcare facilities.
Maintain and repair painted surfaces to meet infection prevention and safety standards.
Work as part of the Maintenance Department supporting mental health services.
Operate safely and in compliance with HSE health and safety protocols.
Travel between sites as required to complete assigned projects.
Collaborate with maintenance foremen, engineers, and support staff.
Keep accurate records of works, tools, and materials used.

Required Qualifications

Essential

Recognised trade qualification as a Painter (Grade 5118).
Hold a valid Category B Irish driving licence.
Access to own vehicle.

Preferred
