Atlantic Technological University (ATU) is seeking experienced professionals for Procurement Support Specialist Jobs ATU. This role plays a critical part in supporting procurement operations, ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations, and delivering value for money across university activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Procurement and Procurement Officers, supporting tendering, contracting, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives across the University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the ATU Procurement team with procurement, contracting, and finance activities.
  • Provide guidance to management and staff on procurement and contract management procedures.
  • Assist with National and European Union level tendering processes.
  • Support contract renewals and implementation of new contracts.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and contract documentation.
  • Collaborate with budget holders on contract management and KPI monitoring.
  • Support reporting and procurement data analysis requirements.
  • Track and collate Procurement and Finance Key Performance Indicators.
  • Review and validate procurement and financial data including purchase requisitions and orders.
  • Support internal and external audit responses.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating procurement training for staff.
  • Undertake additional procurement and administrative duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of five Leaving Certificate subjects at Grade O6 (formerly D3) or equivalent qualification under the QQI framework, or relevant experience demonstrating equivalent competencies.
  • Strong knowledge, skills, and competencies to perform the role to a high standard.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to work.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 8 degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Procurement or Finance qualification.
  • Minimum three years’ relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations.
  • Experience in procurement tendering and contract management.
  • Familiarity with the eTendering portal.
  • Experience using Unit4ERP (Agresso) Financial Management System.

  • Salary Scale: €57,879 – €70,733.
