Job Overview
The Professionally Qualified Social Worker will play a vital role in delivering high-quality social work services, with a strong focus on safeguarding and the welfare of service users. Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage safeguarding and welfare concerns for service users
- Provide professional social work support to older persons and vulnerable groups
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Develop and implement care and intervention plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
- Engage with families, carers, and external agencies
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and professional standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Social Work
- Registration with CORU (or eligibility to register)
- Demonstrated post-qualification experience in social work practice
- Experience working with older persons is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and welfare management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full driver’s licence and access to appropriate transport
