Bantry General Hospital is seeking an experienced Radiographer Clinical Specialist (Ultrasound) to join its Radiology Department. This permanent part-time opportunity offers the chance to play a leading role in delivering high-quality ultrasound services within a busy acute hospital setting in West Cork.
This Radiographer Clinical Specialist Ultrasound Cork role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers a rewarding career path within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver advanced ultrasound imaging services in line with clinical governance standards
• Lead and develop specialist ultrasound practice within the Radiology Department
• Provide clinical expertise and support to radiography colleagues and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety and confidentiality
• Participate in service planning, quality improvement and audit activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Contribute to education, mentoring and supervision of staff and students
Required Skills & Qualifications
• CORU registration as a Radiographer (essential)
• Significant postgraduate experience in ultrasound imaging
• Demonstrated specialist knowledge and competency in ultrasound practice
• Proven ability to work autonomously at clinical specialist level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Eligibility to work in Ireland

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Radiographer – Clinical Specialist (Grade 3131) pay scale in accordance with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025 revision) .
