University Hospital Limerick is recruiting a Registrar in Paediatrics for a fixed-term wholetime post commencing July 2026. This role offers comprehensive clinical exposure within a busy tertiary teaching hospital serving the Mid-West region. The post is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality paediatric medical care under consultant supervision
• Participate in inpatient, outpatient, and on-call paediatric services
• Contribute to acute paediatric admissions and neonatal care as required
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical audits
• Support teaching and supervision of junior medical staff
• Adhere to HSE clinical governance, policies, and procedures
Requirements
• Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) or eligibility to register
• Previous experience in paediatrics at SHO or Registrar level
• Eligibility to work in Ireland without restriction
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development
