Letterkenny University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registrar in Urology (Reference: REGURUL26) to join its specialist surgical team within HSE West and North West. This is a Fixed Term Wholetime opportunity offering valuable clinical experience in a dynamic acute hospital setting serving the Donegal region.
This Registrar in Urology role provides exposure to a broad case mix and the opportunity to work alongside experienced consultants in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality clinical care to urology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Participate in urology theatre lists and procedural services
• Support emergency and elective urology services
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
• Participate in on-call rotas as required
• Engage in clinical audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Urology or General Surgery
• Previous experience at Registrar level or equivalent
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Registrar Grade (1538) pay scale.
According to the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025), Registrar salaries range from:
€68,891 to €81,126 per annum (depending on point of scale)
