University Hospital Limerick is seeking a dedicated Registrar in Urology Surgery (Ref: MW26ER4) to join its Medical & Dental team. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic surgical service, delivering high-quality urological care while contributing to teaching, audit, and service development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients within the Urology Surgery service.
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and theatre sessions.
- Support emergency and elective urology services.
- Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital governance standards.
- Participate in audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in teaching and supervision of junior medical staff where appropriate.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full registration with the Irish Medical Council.
- Relevant postgraduate clinical experience in surgery, ideally including urology.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to continuing professional development.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary Scale: €68,891 – €81,126 per annum (Registrar Grade 1538, effective 1 August 2025)
- Contract Type: Fixed Term Wholetime.
