About the Role
Join our team of retail superheroes in a temporary Sales Assistant position in our Sligo Superstore. This entry-level retail role offers flexible working arrangements in a fast-paced, fun environment where you’ll help families find the perfect toys while developing valuable customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and identify customer needs and preferences
- Maintain store presentation through cleaning, tidying, and effective merchandlanding
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Handle deliveries and stock management including shelf packing and price changes
- Stay current with product knowledge to provide informed recommendations to customers
- Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic retail team
- Support various store operations across multiple departments as needed
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Flexibility to work 7 days per week as stores operate daily schedules
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interactions
- Physical capability for standing, lifting, and moving merchandise
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts
- Positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail experience in toy, outdoor/bikes, nursery, or gaming sectors
- Warehouse or stock management experience
- Cash handling experience
- Product knowledge in children’s toys and games
