An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Dietitian to join Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) within HSE West and North West. This permanent whole-time post supports children and young adults across CDNT 7 North Galway and CDNT 8 East Galway & South Roscommon, delivering high-quality, evidence-based nutritional care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The role offers meaningful clinical impact, professional autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute to service development within community disability services.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist dietetic assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children and young adults with disabilities
• Provide evidence-based nutritional management plans in collaboration with families and carers
• Work as a senior member of multidisciplinary CDNT teams
• Contribute to service planning, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise and support junior dietetic staff and students as required
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with HSE standards
• Engage in continuing professional development and clinical governance activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Dietitian with CORU
• Relevant postgraduate experience in paediatric or disability dietetics
• Demonstrated high level of clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice
• Excellent communication and team-working skills
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
• Full driving licence and access to transport for community-based work

• Salary in line with HSE Senior Dietitian Grade 3395 payscale (Department of Health Consolidated Scales, effective 1 August 2025)
