Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is seeking a dedicated Senior House Officer in Anaesthesia to join its dynamic clinical team in Louth. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced NCHDs looking to further develop their anaesthesia expertise within a busy acute hospital setting in the HSE Dublin and South East region.
This Senior House Officer Anaesthesia Louth role offers structured clinical exposure, multidisciplinary collaboration, and hands-on experience in perioperative and critical care environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide anaesthetic services under consultant supervision
• Participate in pre-operative assessment and post-operative care
• Assist in theatre lists including emergency and elective procedures
• Support airway management and resuscitation when required
• Contribute to pain management services
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Participate in on-call rotas and emergency response
• Engage in continuous professional development and clinical audit
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
• Previous experience in anaesthesia or acute hospital settings
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Strong clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and quality improvement
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Senior House Officer payscale (Grade Code 1012).
As per the Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 August 2025, Senior House Officer annual salary ranges from €54,203 to €74,133 depending on point placement .
