Job Overview

Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown is seeking a motivated and clinically driven Senior House Officer in Cardiology for the July 2026 intake. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical care to patients under the supervision of senior clinicians
  • Assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions
  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Respond to clinical emergencies and provide on-call support as required
  • Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and allied healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) or eligibility to register
  • Relevant clinical experience in general medicine or cardiology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

The salary for this position follows the HSE Senior House Officer pay scale, ranging from €54,745 to €74,874 per annum, depending on experience. This is a fixed-term, wholetime position with structured working hours and participation in on-call rosters. Benefits include access to HSE training and development programmes, pension scheme, and annual leave entitlements in line with public sector guidelines.
