Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown is seeking a motivated and clinically driven Senior House Officer in Cardiology for the July 2026 intake. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic cardiology department within a busy acute hospital setting. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality patient care while developing their clinical expertise in cardiovascular medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients under the supervision of senior clinicians
- Assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Respond to clinical emergencies and provide on-call support as required
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and allied healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) or eligibility to register
- Relevant clinical experience in general medicine or cardiology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
The salary for this position follows the HSE Senior House Officer pay scale, ranging from €54,745 to €74,874 per annum, depending on experience. This is a fixed-term, wholetime position with structured working hours and participation in on-call rosters.
