Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in North Dublin. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to young people experiencing mental health challenges, supporting their development, independence, and wellbeing. This position offers meaningful clinical impact within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and adolescents within CAMHS
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on clinical needs
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, and nursing
- Support service users in achieving functional independence and improved quality of life
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with HSE standards
- Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide supervision and guidance to junior staff and students where required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with CORU or eligibility to register
- Significant post-qualification experience, including relevant CAMHS or mental health experience
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €64,551 – €76,007 per annum
Contract Type: Specified Purpose, Wholetime
