Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical physics support across designated hospital services.
- Lead and oversee quality assurance programmes and safety standards.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of medical equipment and technologies.
- Contribute to service planning, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and mentor junior physics staff and trainees.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to enhance patient care.
- Participate in research, development, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised postgraduate qualification in Medical Physics or equivalent.
- Eligibility for registration as a Physicist – Senior (Grade Code 3808) within the HSE framework.
- Significant relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.
