Job Overview
The Health Service Executive is seeking applications for the role of Senior Physiotherapist HSE West North West within the Integrated Health Area (IHA) of Sligo, South Donegal, Leitrim and West Cavan Primary Care Services. This campaign will form a panel for current and future permanent, fixed-term, and specified purpose vacancies on a full-time or part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced physiotherapists to take on a senior clinical role delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across community and primary care settings in the HSE West and North West region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients in primary care settings.
- Lead and coordinate physiotherapy services within the Integrated Health Area.
- Supervise and mentor junior physiotherapy staff and students.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary primary care team.
- Develop and implement evidence-based clinical programmes and service improvements.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards.
- Participate in service planning, audit, and quality assurance initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- Registration with CORU as a Physiotherapist.
- Minimum relevant clinical experience appropriate to senior grade (Grade Code 3158).
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, organisational and clinical decision-making skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and service excellence.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary aligned with HSE Consolidated Pay Scales for Senior Physiotherapist (Grade 3158), in accordance with February 2026 public sector pay adjustments.
