Key Responsibilities
• Support individuals to live meaningful, self-directed lives in their community
• Deliver person-centred care plans aligned with individual goals
• Promote independence, choice, and social inclusion
• Assist with personal care, daily living activities, and community engagement
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to HIQA and organisational standards
• Support safeguarding, health, and wellbeing practices
• Participate in training, supervision, and service development initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• QQI Level 7/8 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
• CORU registration (or eligibility to register) as a Social Care Worker
• Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities (desirable)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Full driving licence (desirable, depending on service needs)
• Commitment to person-centred and rights-based practice
