Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is recruiting for multiple Social Care Worker positions (2 Permanent Full-Time and 1 Permanent Part-Time) in Galway City. About the Role
As a Social Care Worker with Brothers of Charity Services Ireland, you will provide high-quality support and care to individuals with disabilities in Galway City. This permanent position offers the chance to work within a dedicated team committed to enhancing the quality of life for service users through person-centered care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in accordance with their person-centered plans
- Support service users in developing independent living skills and achieving personal goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to service user care and activities
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery
- Implement individualized support plans and contribute to their ongoing review and development
- Facilitate social inclusion opportunities and community engagement for service users
- Ensure adherence to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care or equivalent recognized qualification
- CORU registration as a Social Care Worker (or eligibility for registration)
- Strong understanding of person-centered approaches and disability service models
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to promoting the rights and dignity of people with disabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in disability services
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including Health Act 2007 and Disability Act 2005
- Experience implementing behavior support plans
- Full clean driving license (advantageous)
