Corlann (BOCSI) is seeking a dedicated Social Care Worker in Galway to join its services in South Connemara. These permanent part-time and permanent whole-time opportunities offer a rewarding career supporting individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
This is a Section 38 post publicly funded and advertised by the HSE. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering person-centred, community-based supports across the HSE West and North West region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred social care supports to service users.
- Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion within community settings.
- Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory standards.
- Support individuals with daily living skills, personal care, and community participation.
- Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are upheld at all times.
- Engage positively with families, carers, and external agencies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant Level 7 or Level 8 qualification in Social Care or equivalent.
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with CORU where applicable.
- Experience working in disability or community-based services is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full clean driving licence may be required.
