Job Overview
This Social Care Worker Roscommon opportunity with Corlann Disability Services offers a rewarding permanent part-time role supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Boyle and Frenchpark areas. As part of a dedicated, person-centred team, you will play a key role in enhancing quality of life, promoting independence, and supporting community inclusion.
This position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers pensionable terms in line with public sector pay policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential and community settings.
- Promote independence, social inclusion, and community participation.
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals in line with their care plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies.
- Adhere to HIQA standards, safeguarding policies, and organisational procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised Level 7 qualification in Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is desirable.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of HIQA standards and safeguarding practices.
- Full clean driving licence is desirable.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
