Job Overview
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to take on a Manager in Charge III role within Primary Care services across Sligo, Leitrim, West Cavan, and South Donegal. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading service delivery, driving improvements, and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position offers the chance to influence service development while managing and supporting multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Speech and Language Therapy services across the designated region
- Oversee staff management, supervision, and performance development
- Drive service improvements and implement strategic changes
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Manage resources effectively to meet service demands
- Support clinical governance and compliance with HSE standards
- Contribute to planning and development of future services
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with CORU (or eligibility to register)
- Significant experience in Speech and Language Therapy service provision
- Proven management experience including staff supervision and service development
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement change and improve services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
The salary scale for this position ranges from €90,076 to €99,140, depending on experience and progression within the scale.
Posts may be offered on a Permanent or Specified Purpose basis, with both full-time and part-time options available.
