The HSE Dublin and Midlands is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Grade Phlebotomist in Naas to join its clinical team on a permanent part-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to work within a busy healthcare setting, delivering high-quality phlebotomy services that support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
This position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform venepuncture and blood sample collection in line with best clinical practice
• Ensure accurate patient identification and labelling of specimens
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards
• Provide reassurance and support to patients during procedures
• Ensure proper storage and transportation of samples
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Work collaboratively with nursing, medical, and laboratory staff
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience working in phlebotomy relevant to the role
• Relevant healthcare qualification or certified phlebotomy training
• Strong knowledge of infection control and patient safety standards
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Phlebotomist Grade 3425 pay scale, in accordance with the Consolidated Salary Scales (1 August 2025)
