Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is seeking a Staff Grade Psychologist (Cardiology) to join its multidisciplinary team based in Dublin South. This specified purpose part-time position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality psychological care to children and families within the Cardiology department at CHI Crumlin.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical psychology assessments, formulations, and interventions for paediatric cardiology patients.
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to support holistic care.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy and psychological support to patients and families.
- Participate in case discussions, clinical meetings, and multidisciplinary planning.
- Contribute to service evaluation, audit, and research within the department.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional ethics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hold a recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
- Eligible for membership with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
- Experience working within child or health psychology settings, preferably cardiology.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Commitment to professional development and service improvement.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Grade: Psychologist – Clinical (Grade Code 3689).
- Contract Type: Specified Purpose, Part-time.
- Salary Scale (effective 1 August 2025): In line with the Department of Health consolidated salary scales for Psychologist – Clinical grades (HSE pay policy).
- Benefits: Public sector pension scheme, incremental pay, and continuing education support.
