Job Overview
Sligo University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). This is a permanent, whole-time opportunity within a high-acuity clinical environment, delivering specialist cardiac care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Coronary Care Unit
• Monitor and assess patients with acute cardiac conditions
• Administer medications and treatments in line with clinical protocols
• Collaborate with medical and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Support patients and families during critical care episodes
• Adhere to HSE policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
Requirements
• Registration as a General Nurse with NMBI
• Experience or strong interest in coronary or acute medical nursing
• Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
