This Staff Nurse General Cavan opportunity offers a permanent wholetime position within the HSE Dublin and North East region. The role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.
As a Staff Nurse General in Cavan, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care aligned with national HSE standards and professional best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in accordance with professional standards and HSE policies
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care plans
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Promote patient safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit processes
- Support and mentor junior nursing staff and students as required
- Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Demonstrated clinical competence in acute or relevant healthcare settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary aligned to HSE Staff Nurse (Grade 2135) February 2026 consolidated pay scale: €37,788 – €56,032 per annum (incremental scale)
