Children’s Health Ireland is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse – Phlebotomy to join its clinical team in Dublin South. Key Responsibilities
- Perform venepuncture and blood collection procedures safely and efficiently
- Provide high-quality nursing care in line with best clinical practice
- Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labelling
- Maintain infection prevention and control standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document clinical activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Support service delivery within paediatric settings
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered as a Children’s Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Relevant experience in phlebotomy or acute clinical settings
- Strong clinical and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and care
- Flexibility to work part-time hours as required
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale ranges from €37,788 to €56,032 per annum (pro rata), depending on experience and point on the scale.
