The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting a Staff Nurse for the Theatre Department in County Clare. This permanent, whole-time role offers the chance to contribute to safe, high-quality perioperative care within the HSE Mid West region. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care across all stages of the perioperative journey
• Assist surgical teams with preparation, instrumentation and intraoperative support
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to HSE policies and protocols
• Participate in theatre preparation, equipment checks and post-operative recovery care
• Support infection prevention and control and patient safety initiatives
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team communication and service improvements
• Engage in ongoing professional development and mandatory training

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with NMBI registration (active and in good standing)
• Previous experience in theatre, acute care, or a similar clinical environment desirable
• Strong clinical decision-making and prioritisation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

• HSE salary scale applies (Grade: Staff Nurse – General, Code 2135)
• Permanent, whole-time contract
