Our Lady’s Hospital Navan is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse Theatre to join its dynamic perioperative team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality surgical care within a busy acute hospital environment in the HSE Dublin and North East region.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred care within the operating theatre setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high standards of perioperative nursing care in accordance with professional guidelines and HSE policies.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of a safe theatre environment.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Monitor patients pre, intra, and post-operatively.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration as a General Nurse on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Experience in a theatre or acute hospital setting is desirable.
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centred care.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE Staff Nurse – General (Grade 2135) pay scale under the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales (effective 1 August 2025) .
