About the Role
As a Support Worker in Charleville, you will provide essential care and support services to vulnerable individuals within a progressive Social Care environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care and support to service users in a compassionate, professional manner
- Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, medication administration, and meal preparation
- Implement individualised care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Support service users with social activities, community integration, and skill development programmes
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, social workers, and family members
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, and colleagues to maintain high-quality care delivery
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Nursing Studies, or Social Care
- Legal right to work in Ireland – EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam
- Demonstrated ability to show compassion and empathy towards vulnerable individuals
- Willingness to undergo Garda Vetting clearance process
- International Police Clearance (if resided outside Ireland for more than 6 months after age 16)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in social care, healthcare support, or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of person-centred care principles
- Flexibility to work various shift patterns including weekends
