Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and budgeting processes across the region

  • Ensure compliance with HSE financial governance and audit requirements
  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership teams
  • Drive efficiency and value-for-money initiatives
  • Manage and support finance teams across multiple locations
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to align financial and service goals

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Significant senior management experience in financial planning or performance management
  • Strong understanding of public sector finance, ideally within healthcare
  • Professional accounting qualification (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects and deliver strategic outcomes

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary Scale: €86,604 – €107,727 per annum (aligned with General Manager Grade 0041)

Contract Type: Specified Purpose Wholetime
