Join HSE Dublin North East as a Family Therapist (Grade 3959) providing vital mental health services across Louth and Meath. This is a permanent wholetime position open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants, supporting families through evidence-based therapeutic interventions within multidisciplinary teams.
About the Role
As part of the Louth/Meath Mental Health Services, the Family Therapist will deliver systemic therapy to individuals, couples, and families affected by mental health challenges. You’ll contribute to holistic care planning and support recovery-oriented service delivery across community and hospital settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide systemic family therapy to service users and families.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary mental health teams.
- Deliver psychoeducation and therapeutic group interventions.
- Participate in clinical supervision, audit, and service evaluation.
- Contribute to service development in line with HSE policies.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case records.
- Ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Recognised qualification in Family Therapy.
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant professional body.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering family therapy services.
- Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the role.
Preferred
- Experience in HSE mental health or primary care settings.
- Additional training in child/adolescent or trauma-informed therapy.
What We Offer
- Salary: Family Therapist (Grade 3959) per HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (effective 1 August 2025) – €58,972–€68,984 per annum, dependent on experience.
