As Grade VII Finance Analyst, you’ll provide comprehensive financial analysis and reporting within our dynamic healthcare environment. You’ll work closely with senior management teams while supporting critical financial decision-making processes that directly impact patient care delivery. This role reports to the Finance Officer and offers significant professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial analysis projects for hospital operations and strategic planning initiatives
- Manage budgetary processes including preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis reporting
- Collaborate with clinical teams to provide financial insights for service planning and development
- Ensure compliance with HSE financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Develop comprehensive reports for senior management and HSE regional leadership
- Support audit processes and implement financial control improvements
- Analyze healthcare metrics to identify cost optimization and efficiency opportunities
Essential Qualifications
Education: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field Experience: 3+ years in financial analysis + 2+ years in healthcare/public sector finance Certifications: Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred Skills: Advanced Excel, financial modeling, healthcare finance knowledge, regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced healthcare finance certifications
- Experience with HSE financial systems and procedures
- Leadership or supervisory experience in financial teams
