The Health Service Executive (HSE) is Ireland’s national healthcare provider, delivering comprehensive health and social care services to over 5 million people. We are seeking an experienced Grade VII Cloud Enablement and Adoption Manager to join our Technology & Transformation division across multiple locations throughout Ireland, driving our digital transformation and cloud adoption strategy.
About the Role
This permanent wholetime position offers an exciting opportunity to lead cloud enablement and adoption initiatives within Ireland’s largest healthcare organization. As our Cloud Enablement and Adoption Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in modernizing healthcare technology infrastructure and supporting the delivery of essential health services across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cloud adoption strategies across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms to support HSE’s digital transformation goals
- Manage complex stakeholder relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and healthcare professionals throughout the implementation process
- Drive cloud delivery initiatives in a large-scale healthcare environment, ensuring compliance with healthcare data protection requirements
- Implement FinOps practices and resource management processes specific to public sector requirements and budget constraints
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify cloud solutions that improve patient care and operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks ensuring security, compliance, and cost optimization across all cloud platforms
- Provide technical leadership on cloud migration projects and adoption roadmaps for critical healthcare systems
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Significant experience in Cloud Adoption and Implementation with demonstrated expertise across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms
- Proven track record of Cloud Delivery in large and complex organizational environments, preferably healthcare or public sector
- Strong stakeholder management experience with ability to work collaboratively across multiple internal and external teams
- Specialized knowledge of Public Sector FinOps and resource management processes relevant to government and healthcare organizations
- Current employment with HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies (per WRC Agreement 161867)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare technology transformation projects
- Knowledge of healthcare data protection and GDPR compliance
- Professional cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Project management qualifications and experience
- Understanding of Irish public sector procurement processes
