The Disabilities Workforce & Resourcing Unit is recruiting a Grade VIII Disabilities Workforce Pathway Lead for a senior management and workforce development role based in Sligo or Dublin. This permanent, whole-time opportunity will support strategic workforce and resourcing priorities within disability services and the HSE National Human Resources Division.

Role Overview

The Grade VIII Disabilities Workforce Pathway Lead will work within the Disabilities Workforce & Resourcing Team, contributing to the development and delivery of workforce pathways and resourcing priorities for disability services. The role offers an opportunity to influence workforce planning, support sustainable staffing approaches and contribute to national HR priorities in a strategically important area of health and social care.

There is currently one permanent, whole-time vacancy available. A panel may also be formed from this campaign to fill current and future permanent and specified-purpose vacancies of full-time or part-time duration within Disability Workforce & Resourcing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support workforce pathway initiatives within disability services.
  • Contribute to strategic workforce planning and resourcing priorities across the disability sector.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to support sustainable workforce development and recruitment approaches.
  • Provide senior management input into workforce programmes, projects and service priorities.
  • Support effective collaboration across disability services, national HR functions and relevant workforce stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the delivery of organisational priorities within the Disabilities Workforce & Resourcing Unit.

Salary

€83,911 – €101,207 per annum (HSE Grade VIII scale, seven-point scale), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026.

Location

The base location for this post will be Finisklin Business Park, Sligo, or Dr Steevens’ Hospital, Dublin 8, to be agreed with the successful candidate. The role sits within the Disabilities Workforce & Resourcing Unit of the HSE National Human Resources Division and contributes to workforce priorities with a national organisational impact.

Contract Type

The current vacancy is permanent and whole-time. A panel may be formed from this campaign to fill future permanent and specified-purpose vacancies of full-time or part-time duration.
