The Role
As a Health Care Assistant with the Sligo team, you will provide essential personal care and support to clients in their own homes. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with flexible scheduling to suit your availability. You will work as part of a dedicated local team, supported by nurses, care managers, and an on-call operator.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering personal care and support to elderly clients and individuals with disabilities in their own homes.
- Travelling between client visits across the Sligo area.
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with the wider care team.
- Upholding the dignity, privacy, and independence of every client.
Requirements
- QQI Level 5 qualification (or currently studying towards it) in Care Skills, Care Support, or Caring for the Elderly — or equivalent/higher qualification; OR a minimum of one year’s experience delivering personal care in a healthcare setting such as a nursing home.
- A valid full driving licence and access to your own car (essential).
- Availability for weekend and/or evening shifts.
- Fluent English.
- A positive, compassionate attitude and genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable people.

Location
