Job Overview
This part-time permanent Healthcare Assistant role focuses on weekend care services across the Carrick-on-Shannon area in County Leitrim. Successful candidates will support individuals with daily living tasks, personal care, companionship, and mobility assistance while promoting independence and wellbeing within the community.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care and daily living assistance to clients in their homes
- Support clients with mobility, hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
- Promote client independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor and report any changes in client condition or care needs
- Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with the care team
- Travel between client homes within the assigned area
- Deliver companionship and social support to clients
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and care standards policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years paid home care experience and/or QQI Level 5 in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person
- Willingness to complete QQI training with employer support if required
- Full driving licence with access to a car
- Good standard of spoken and written English
- Availability to work alternative weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to care delivery

- Pay rate from €15.92 to €21.92 per hour
- Permanent part-time weekend role
