Job Overview

The Staff Grade Physiotherapist will work as part of a collaborative healthcare environment delivering assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and therapeutic interventions to service users across HSE West and North West services. The role involves supporting patients with a wide range of physical conditions while promoting recovery, independence, and long-term wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physiotherapy treatment programmes for patients.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in line with HSE standards.
  • Support rehabilitation, mobility improvement, pain management, and recovery outcomes.

  • Promote patient education and preventative healthcare practices.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies, and CORU registration requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • CORU registration or eligibility for registration as a Physiotherapist in Ireland.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Clinical assessment and rehabilitation experience desirable.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of patient-centred care.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work across various healthcare settings within the HSE region.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary will be aligned with HSE pay scales for Physiotherapist Grade 314X positions. Competitive public sector benefits may include annual leave entitlements, pension scheme participation, professional development opportunities, and access to further training and education supports.

Contracts available include Permanent Part-time, Permanent Whole-time, Specified Purpose Part-time, and Specified Purpose Whole-time positions.
