We are seeking an experienced HR Business Manager for a permanent Grade VII management position based in Limerick City to join our dynamic team and drive strategic human resources initiatives.
About the Role
This Grade VII HR Business Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to lead human resources operations within our Limerick-based services. You will work collaboratively with senior management to implement HR strategies, manage employee relations, and ensure compliance with employment legislation while supporting our mission of person-centered care and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures in line with organizational objectives and statutory requirements
- Manage employee relations including grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and performance management processes
- Lead recruitment and selection processes ensuring best practice and compliance with equality legislation
- Provide strategic HR guidance to managers on workforce planning, organizational development, and change management initiatives
- Oversee training and development programs to enhance staff capabilities and career progression opportunities
- Maintain accurate HR information systems and produce regular reports for senior management and statutory bodies
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, health and safety regulations, and sector-specific requirements
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Third level qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in HR management role, preferably within healthcare or disability services sector
- Comprehensive knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practices
- Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, and performance management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work at Grade VII management level
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent)
- Experience working within Section 38 organizations or HSE-funded services
- Knowledge of disability services sector and person-centered approaches
- Project management experience and change management capabilities
