Three permanent, whole-time Multi-Task Attendant (Intellectual Disabilities) positions are now available across HSE Dublin South and Wicklow, with vacancies based at Bakers Corner Adult Respite Centre in Dún Laoghaire, Farmleigh Park in Stillorgan, and Liffeyvale House in Lucan. Role Overview
The Multi-Task Attendant (Intellectual Disabilities) supports the day-to-day care, wellbeing, and social inclusion of service users across HSE-operated residential and respite settings in the Dublin South and Wicklow region. Working under the direction of nursing and management staff, the post holder contributes to a person-centred care environment that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care and support to adults with intellectual disabilities in residential and respite settings.
- Assist service users with daily living activities, social outings, and recreational programmes.
- Drive service vehicles to transport service users on activities and outings as required.
- Support the maintenance of a safe, clean, and welcoming care environment.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health, and care teams to deliver person-centred support plans.
- Contribute to record-keeping and reporting as directed by the senior care team.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working with children or adults in a disability or social care setting.
- Full, clean driving licence — a requirement of the role, as post holders will drive service vehicles with service users.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine commitment to person-centred care.
Salary
€36,651 – €45,939 per annum (HSE Attendant, Multi-Task scale, 9-point scale), based on the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 June 2026.
Locations
The three current vacancies are located across HSE Dublin South and Wicklow:
- Bakers Corner Adult Respite Centre, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin — one permanent, whole-time post.
- Farmleigh Park, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin — one permanent, whole-time post.
- Liffeyvale House, Lucan, Dublin 20 — one permanent, whole-time post.
All three sites operate within the HSE South West health region and are part of the Integrated Health Area covering Dublin South and Wicklow. A panel will be formed from this campaign from which additional permanent and specified-purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled across the region.
