Role Overview
This Multi Task Attendant role combines healthcare support, cleaning, catering assistance and general ward duties within HSE facilities across County Sligo. Successful candidates will provide essential non-clinical support to healthcare teams while helping to maintain high standards of patient care, hygiene and safety. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy varied responsibilities and making a positive difference every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living and direct patient care.
- Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Support ward operations and patient care areas.
- Assist with food service and meal distribution.
- Maintain hygiene and infection prevention standards.
- Support healthcare professionals with non-clinical duties.
- Undertake varied duties including cleaning, kitchen work, deliveries and accompanying residents to appointments where required.
Requirements
- QQI/FETAC Level 5 qualification in a healthcare discipline.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Patient Moving and Handling certification.
- Valid Visa or GNIB documentation where applicable.
- International Police Clearance if you have lived abroad for six months or longer.
- Dependable, caring and flexible approach to healthcare support work.
Salary
€18.01–€36.02 per hour, depending on shifts worked and applicable premium allowances.
