The Health Service Executive (HSE) is inviting applications for the position of Multi Task Attendant (Grade 6015) within the Community Healthcare Sligo Leitrim Area. This role supports patient and client care services across healthcare facilities in the region, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and assistance in daily activities.
About the Role
As a Multi Task Attendant, you will provide essential support to healthcare teams by maintaining safe, clean environments and assisting patients and residents with their day-to-day needs. This role is key to delivering compassionate, person-centred care within HSE community and hospital settings across Sligo and Leitrim.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control throughout care environments.
- Assist patients and residents with mobility, meals, and personal care as directed.
- Support nursing and clinical teams in delivering person-centred care.
- Manage laundry, waste, and stock control in line with HSE protocols.
- Ensure safe use and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful working environment within healthcare teams.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum education per HSE entry requirements for Multi Task Attendant (Grade 6015).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to infection prevention and control standards.
Preferred
- Experience in a healthcare, residential, or cleaning support role.
- Training in manual handling, patient moving and handling, or health and safety.

- Salary: In line with HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (effective 1 August 2025) for Grade 6015 Attendants, with a 1% pay increase as per Department of Health Circular 6/2025.
