About the Role
This Clinical Nurse Manager Acute Medical Assessment Cavan position offers an exceptional opportunity to advance your nursing career in a leadership role within HSE Dublin and North East’s premier healthcare facility. Salary: €60,854 – €76,897 annually (Grade 2119 – Clinical Nurse Manager 2)
Contract: Permanent Wholetime
Location: Cavan Hospital, Cavan

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing staff in the Acute Medical Assessment Unit
- Coordinate patient care for acute medical admissions and assessments
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and safety standards
- Develop and mentor nursing team members through professional development
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and medical consultants
- Manage resources efficiently to optimize patient flow and care delivery
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Post-registration experience in acute medical care settings
- Leadership experience in nursing management or senior clinical roles
- Demonstrated competency in acute medical assessment and emergency care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate qualification in Nursing Management or related field
- Experience in Acute Medical Assessment Units or Emergency Departments
- Quality improvement project management experience
- Teaching and mentoring experience with nursing staff
