Occupational Therapist (Senior) – Adult & Older Persons – Dublin North | HSE

Join the HSE Dublin North team as a Senior Occupational Therapist supporting adults and older persons across community and healthcare settings. This permanent, wholetime post offers the chance to contribute to person-centred rehabilitation and wellbeing within multidisciplinary teams.

About the Role

The Senior Occupational Therapist (Grade 3301) will provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention to adults and older persons across services in Dublin North. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues in primary care, hospitals, and community networks to promote independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions.
  • Manage a defined caseload and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Lead and support service development within adult and older person pathways.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to case reviews.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and students.
  • Participate in clinical audits, training, and professional development.
  • Promote quality improvement and client-centred care.

Required Qualifications

Essential

  • A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy (CORU registration required).
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience, including work with adults or older persons.
  • Proven ability to manage a clinical caseload independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in primary care, gerontology, or rehabilitation.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development in relevant practice areas.
