Position: Personal Assistant to Director of Nursing

Key Responsibilities

As PA to the Director of Nursing in Dublin, you will:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Nursing and senior nursing management team
• Manage complex diary scheduling, meetings coordination, and travel arrangements
• Prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and presentations for nursing leadership
• Coordinate nursing department meetings, taking minutes and managing follow-up actions
• Liaise with internal departments, external stakeholders, and healthcare regulatory bodies
• Support nursing quality initiatives, audit processes, and accreditation activities
• Maintain filing systems and ensure compliance with healthcare data protection requirements
• Assist with nursing recruitment processes and staff communication initiatives
• Handle sensitive nursing matters with complete confidentiality and professionalism
• Support the Director of Nursing in strategic planning and project management activities

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum Level 6 qualification (QQI) or equivalent in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant, preferably in healthcare or hospital environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Experience with healthcare systems and understanding of Irish healthcare regulations
• Knowledge of data protection requirements (GDPR) in healthcare settings

Desirable Qualifications:

• Previous experience supporting senior healthcare professionals in Dublin hospitals
• Understanding of nursing governance structures and Irish nursing regulations
• Experience with healthcare quality management systems
• Additional administrative or healthcare-related qualifications
