About the Role
Mayo University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Radiographer Clinical Specialist Mayo to join our dynamic breast screening service. This Mammography Radiographer Mayo position involves delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services and working closely with our established Breast Service team at Galway University Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform specialized mammography examinations using state-of-the-art digital equipment
- Provide expert clinical leadership in mammography techniques and protocols
- Collaborate closely with the Breast Service team at Galway University Hospital
- Maintain the highest standards of patient care and imaging quality
- Participate in regional meetings and continuing professional development
- Mentor and support junior radiography staff
- Ensure compliance with radiation protection and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Professional registration with CORU as a Radiographer
- Relevant post-qualification experience in diagnostic radiography
- Specialized training or experience in mammography imaging
- Valid driving license and access to own transport for regional travel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuing professional development
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in breast screening or mammography services
- Leadership or supervisory experience in clinical settings
- Additional post-graduate qualifications in medical imaging
- Experience working within HSE or public healthcare settings
