St Columcille’s Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiographer for our busy Radiology Department in Loughlinstown, Dublin. This permanent wholetime role offers excellent career development opportunities and the chance to work with cutting-edge imaging technology in a supportive healthcare environment.
About the Role
As a Staff Radiographer, you’ll provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services within our modern Radiology Department. You’ll operate advanced radiographic equipment while ensuring exceptional patient care and safety standards. This role reports to the Radiology Services Manager and offers opportunities for professional growth within the HSE Dublin and South East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently across multiple imaging modalities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and specialized examinations
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all radiographic procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with HSE standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in quality assurance programs and equipment maintenance protocols
- Support student radiographer training and continuing professional development activities
Essential Qualifications
Education: BSc in Medical Radiography or equivalent recognized qualification
Registration: Current registration with CORU (Health and Social Care Professionals Council)
Experience: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in diagnostic radiography
Skills: Proficiency in digital imaging systems, PACS, and radiographic positioning techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced imaging certifications in CT, MRI, or specialized radiographic procedures
- Experience with pediatric radiography and patient-centered care approaches
- Quality improvement project involvement in radiology services
- Additional post-graduate qualifications in medical imaging or related healthcare fields
