About the Role
As a Senior Community Facilitator Day Service Cork, you will take on a leadership role in our dynamic day service program. This position involves coordinating community activities, supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals, and ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained across all service areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day service operations and coordinate community-based activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Develop person-centered support plans in collaboration with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Supervise and mentor staff members to ensure quality service delivery and professional development
- Build partnerships with local community organizations and businesses to expand inclusion opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and best practice standards
- Facilitate group activities that promote social inclusion, skill development, and community participation
- Manage resources effectively and maintain accurate documentation and reporting systems
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Social Care, Community Development, or related field (Level 7/8)
- Minimum 3 years experience in disability services or community care settings
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising staff teams
- Strong understanding of person-centered approaches and rights-based service delivery
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Full clean driving license and access to vehicle for community activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate qualification in relevant field
- Experience with day service programs and community inclusion initiatives
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including Disability Act 2005 and HIQA standards
- Training in safeguarding and risk assessment procedures
