About the Role

We are recruiting a Senior Engineer to join our Circular Economy and Environment team across our Cork, Dublin or Carlow offices. This senior-level position offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting business growth while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of projects across the Circular Economy and Environment sectors, working with both public and private sector clients across solid waste, bio-waste, and sludge management sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Ensure project delivery aligns with agreed timescales, quality standards and budgets across circular economy initiatives
  • Design Management: Plan and oversee the preparation of CAD design documentation in collaboration with Project Engineers and Engineering Technicians
  • Client Engagement: Attend on-site meetings with clients and project stakeholders to drive circular economy solutions
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain adherence to internal Quality Assurance and Management Systems for all circular economy projects
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work complies with applicable health and safety regulations in environmental consulting
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate effectively with other members of the project team on multidisciplinary circular economy projects
  • Technical Excellence: Apply specialist expertise in waste and resource management to deliver innovative solutions

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years post-graduate professional experience in relevant engineering fields
  • Project Management: Proven experience in project management with demonstrated success
  • EIA Expertise: Strong proficiency in managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
  • Professional Qualities: Highly motivated and energetic professional approach
  • Communication: Excellent communication, organisational and analytical abilities
  • Stakeholder Management: Skilled in liaising with external stakeholders, clients, and sub-contractors
  • Mobility: Holds a full, clean driving licence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in circular economy or waste management projects
  • Knowledge of sustainable infrastructure development
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance
  • Additional project management certifications
  • Experience working with both public and private sector clients
