Central Remedial Clinic, Ireland’s leading provider of specialized disability services, is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist for our Children’s Disability Network Team in Dublin North. About the Role
As Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll lead therapeutic interventions for children aged 0-18 years with complex developmental needs within our dynamic CDNT. You’ll work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team while implementing our Family Centered Practice Model in line with Progressing Disability Services framework. This senior role combines direct clinical practice with mentorship responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children with complex developmental disabilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic approaches for 0-18 age group
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary CDNT team members including physiotherapists, speech therapists, and social workers
- Mentor junior occupational therapy staff and students in specialized pediatric practice techniques
- Engage families through Family Centered Practice Model to ensure holistic child development outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in multidisciplinary case conferences
- Implement Progressing Disability Services guidelines within therapeutic practice protocols
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from recognized institution
- Experience: Minimum 5 years post-qualification + 2 years pediatric disability experience required
- Registration: Current CORU registration as Occupational Therapist in Ireland
- Specialization: Demonstrated experience with children’s developmental disabilities and complex needs
- Skills: Strong assessment, treatment planning, and family engagement capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Training: Specialized pediatric occupational therapy certifications or postgraduate qualifications
- CDNT Experience: Previous work within Children’s Disability Network Team environment
- Leadership Skills: Experience supervising junior staff or student placements
- Additional Expertise: Knowledge of assistive technology, sensory integration, or specific developmental interventions
