The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist (Plastics and MSK) to join the team at Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. This permanent wholetime position offers an opportunity to lead in the management of patients with plastics, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and trauma-related conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced physiotherapy assessment and treatment for plastics and MSK patients.
- Manage complex orthopaedic and trauma rehabilitation cases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient recovery outcomes.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to junior physiotherapy staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and participate in service audits and development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BSc or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.
- CORU registration (Physiotherapists Registration Board).
- Minimum three years’ post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in plastics, orthopaedic, trauma, and/or MSK physiotherapy.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Grade: Physiotherapist – Senior (Code 3158)
- Salary Scale (from 1 August 2025): €63,650 – €74,327 per annum (HSE Consolidated Pay Scales 2025)
