St. John of God Community Services is seeking an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join its multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in Tallaght, Co. Dublin. Role Overview
This 0.5 WTE (17.5 hours per week) position is ideal for a motivated Speech and Language Therapist with a strong interest in child and adolescent mental health. You will become part of a dynamic Speech and Language Therapy Department, working alongside experienced professionals across a multidisciplinary team while contributing to high-quality assessment, intervention and ongoing service development.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist speech and language therapy assessment and intervention for children and adolescents.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and professional records.
- Participate in clinical meetings, service development initiatives and quality improvement activities.
- Contribute to family-centred care through effective communication and collaboration.
- Engage in continuing professional development, supervision and research opportunities.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Current CORU registration.
- Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience.
- Experience working with children and adolescents within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service is desirable.
- Knowledge of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Disorders.
- A demonstrated interest in developing a career within mental health services.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
- Flexibility, commitment, innovation, enthusiasm and resourcefulness.
Salary
€65,197 – €76,767 per annum (HSE Senior Speech and Language Therapist Grade 3379 salary scale, effective 1 June 2026). As St. John of God Community Services is a Section 38 organisation, remuneration is aligned with HSE Consolidated Salary Scales.
